The 1200 Litre 30 Minute Fire Protected Bunded Oil Tank offers integral protection from spills, leakages and overfilling due to its bunded design. It’s made from recyclable, fire retardant and corrosion-resistant polyethylene plastic and can withstand all outdoor weather conditions. Suitable for diesel, gas and heating oil, this high-quality tank guarantees long-term durable oil storage providing it is correctly installed and regularly maintained. It also features an overfill prevention valve, clock gauge and gas strut assisted flip lid. As standard, all of our tanks come with a 10-year warranty once registered so you know you’re covered when you buy from us.

30 minute fire protection

As Tuffa’s fire protected oil tanks serve as a compliant alternative to traditional fire barriers, the integrally fitted 30 minute fire protection system allows for you to install this oil tank adjacent to buildings or other structures. A minimum of 300m is acceptable unless access is needed (e.g. at the front of the tank to fill it) where a minimum of 600mm is required. This offers a quick and easy solution to replace non-compliant tanks situated within 1.8m of buildings and structures, as well as allowing you to save outdoor space by hiding your tank behind and around outbuildings.

Please note although all Tuffa oil tanks are certified by the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) and prove compliant with Building Regulations in Britain, it is the responsibility of either the Competent Person installing the tank or the building inspector certifying the installation to ensure a site-specific risk assessment has been conducted.
